Coat Bank 

Our goal is to insure that all persons in need receive a coat and are wrapped in the love of Christ this winter.  Serving families in need in the greater Lansing area.

Please note:

-  Government issued identification is required for all adults who wish to receive a coat.

-  Anyone in need may come during the house below to select a coat or winter apparel.

-  Masks are required to enter the building.

-  Each person requesting a coat MUST be present at the Coat Bank, including children.

-  Each child may have one coat per year, and each adult may have one coat every other year.

- Only coat recipients may enter the building.


Coat Bank distribution is at our Christ Campus location of St. Luke Lutheran Church:  

           122 S. Pennsylvania Ave.

           Lansing, Michigan

St. Luke Lutheran Church is conveniently located within walking distance of CATA bus stops:    

- Eastbound Bus 1, stop ID:  1676

- Westbound Bus 1, stop ID:  1742

Community Kitchen

St. Luke Lutheran Church provides a free meal on the following Saturday's:  

March 26, April 23 and May 28.  

Meals are served inside and will also be available to-go.  

Visit our Christ Campus location on Saturday's from 11:30-12:30pm at

122 S. Pennsylvania Avenue, Lansing.

Collection Drive

April - June

New and lightly used children's clothing for ages newborn - 14 years old.

All donations will be shared with the homeless population of Greater Lansing.

Donation bins will be placed at both campuses.

Bundled Blessings Diaper Ministry

Bundled Blessings is a new St. Luke ministry in conjunction with Christian Services.  St. Luke will accept donations of diapers size 3 and up, along with wipes.  There are donation boxes at both campuses.  Recipients will be screened through Christian Services and St. Luke will distribute them by appointment only on Wednesdays at Christ Campus.  

Community Garden

Mission of God’s Glory Community garden:

Our mission is to serve the Lord by growing food for our community, and to further grow in relationship with the community. 

We support the Haslett Food Pantry and the Greater Lansing Food Bank with fresh seasonal produce. 

For interested gardeners we will have the Garden Guidelines and Gardener Agreement available in early spring 2022.  If you would like a plot to in the garden for summer 2022, please contact St. Luke at 517.339.9119 or email the office at in early May 2022.

Missions We Support

Together In Mission - We help support financially and with our prayers the ministry of Pastor David Erber and his family, missionaries in Nigeria, through the LCMS’s Together in Mission Program. Pastor Erber corresponds with us regularly by email and visits us occasionally to report on the progress of his vibrant ministry to Nigerian nationals. You can read more about them here

Lutheran Bible Translators - We give special financial and prayerful attention to the ministry of Pastor Chuck and Karen Tessaro of Lutheran Bible Translators who are working to provide a written version of the Bible (and a written language) to the people of Nigeria. International Student Ministries Friendship House - Many of our members participate in the International Student Ministry-Lansing Area ministry of friendship with hundreds of international students, scholars, visiting professionals and their families at nearby Michigan State University and Lansing Community College.
